The FIPA's structure has evolved into one in which key policy units
known as
"Task Forces" form its foundation.
The number and focus of the units that make up the FIPA vary over
time, depending upon where we believe the most pressing public policy
issues lie and (among them) where we can best make some valuable
contribution with the limited resources at our disposal.
From time to time (and funds permitting) we undertake 'Special
Projects' in other areas not covered by our existing core units---

GUIDELINES
for organising "PUBLIC INFORMATION FORUMS"
or public policy "ROUNDTABLES".
The Public Policy Forums & Roundtables bring together small
groups of leaders, experts, and opinion-makers to explore ways of
dealing more effectively with complex issues facing society. Projects
incorporate fact-finding, informal consultation, structured meetings,
outreach, and follow-up, and typically extend over several months.
They center on state-of-the-art knowledge from both the practical
and academic worlds, and stress concrete results.
